Our
Model
- Style:
Grandmaster Han's World Youn Wha Ryu Tae Kwon Do
- Biblical
Worldview based on six principles: Be Patient, Be Polite,
Be Alert, Brave, Do Your Best, Respect Yourself and Others. Throughout
classes the instructor will provide spiritual lessons using the analogy
of martial arts.
- Family-Centered
Training: Families are encouraged to train with their children.
- Two
Types of Classes:
- Regular
Classes: These classes are for everyone young and old,
fit and unfit, experienced and inexperienced in the martial arts.
- Trainer
Classes: This opportunity is only for mature teens and
adults who would like to assist the main instructor in teaching
the regular class. Ask about the requirements to join.

The
Instructor
Ann
Rodgers is the head of the Springfield Division of Grandmaster Han's
Tae Kwon Do World Youn Wha Ryu Association (WYWRA). She is a 4th Dan
Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do. She is a WYWRA Certified Instructor with
over 15 years experience teaching the martial arts. Ann and her husband
Rob, a 2nd Dan Black belt as well as their two teenage sons, Ryan and
Roi, are WYWRA Certified Instructors.

meet at the Nixa Community Center:

classes meet on Tuesdays & Thursdays 6:30-7:30 PM.

The
Rules
- At least
one parent must train with any student under twelve years old.
- All
students must wear an approved martial arts uniform with the Han Symbol
and the required patches properly sown onto the uniform (Purchase
here).
- All
students must complete and agree to the online sign-up (Sign
up here).
- Students
may only test for belt advancement if invited to do so by their instructor.
- Only
mature teens and adults may be Trainers. Ask about the requirements
to join.

Costs
- Tuition:
$40/student per month (all tuition payments are due at the first of
the month, payable at the front desk of the Nixa Community Center)
- Uniform:
From $60 (includes uniform with Han Symbol, required patches, belt,
tax, and shipping). Purchase here.
- Testing:
varies based on rank (includes the cost of belt if applicable).
